Redeemed — So Much More Than Restored
We live in a world where people regularly restore old cars, motorcycles, furniture, houses, and the list goes on and on. To restore something is an attempt to return it to its original condition – to attempt to make it like new without altering its original design in order to preserve its authenticity.
But Christ offers so much more! We were all born into sin, our original condition. We need to be set free from the reign and power of sin in our life. We need to be redeemed in Christ, reconciled to God, and then we can live a Redeemed Marriage!
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
- Luke 19:10
We seek to see marriage redeemed on three levels:
Redeeming Individuals
– through Christ
In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.
– Ephesians 1:7
Redeeming Marriage
– the institution designed by God
For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
– Genesis 2:24
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over…every living thing that moves on the earth.”
– Genesis 1:27-28
Redeeming Marriages
– your marriage
And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
– Revelation 21:5
Mission:
We exist to glorify God and redeem marriage by making disciples for Jesus Christ through the teaching, mentoring, counseling, and proclamation of His Word.
I will give thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And will glorify Your name forever.
– Psalm 86:12
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
– Proverbs 28:18
Vision:
God is being glorified through redeemed marriages in our communities and beyond – both in geography and generations.
