What is Biblical Counseling?
It is the private, compassionate, intensive ministry of the Word of God by a Christian (counselor) seeking to humbly and lovingly help someone (counselee) struggling with the problems of life and living to grow and change, so that God gets the glory.
“Listen to counsel and accept discipline, that you may be wise the rest of your days. Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the counsel of the Lord will stand.”

We offer Biblical counseling for adults in any stage of life – single, serious dating, engaged, married, separated, or divorced.
Premarital
So many marriages today are destined to fail before they even begin. In 2019, the wedding cost an average of $33,900 (source: The Knot), yet people make little to no investment in marriage preparation. Typically done over the course of twelve sessions (minimum six), we help the couple really get to know and understand each other, learn the meaning of marriage as God designed it, and discuss roles, conflict resolution, sexual intimacy, financial stewardship, and more. This is our favorite part of ministry – equipping couples for a lifelong marriage that glorifies God!
The objective of premarital counseling is to prepare individuals and couples for a long, joyful, God-glorifying marriage. Research has shown that premarital counseling can reduce your risk of divorce by 30%.
Marriage
The institution of marriage was designed by God (even before the church) to be the cornerstone of the family unit and the foundation for society. Given the fact that it always consists of two sinners in need of redemption and ongoing sanctification, there are many opportunities for conflict. Whether you are looking for marriage enrichment or this is a last resort before divorce, we know God can redeem your marriage. If you are willing, we would really like to help you. We have seen Him do it before and we know He can do it again!
Individual & Life Challenges
Both singleness and marriage are gifts from God. If your find yourself struggling in relationships, contemplating your calling in life, or battling depression, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, anxiety, or other hurts, we would like to help you find healing in Christ through the counsel of His Word.
Your counseling will be conducted by a counselor of the same sex. From time to time, more than one counselor may participate in the session and frequently will consist of a husband-wife team. The primary resource utilized in all counseling conducted by Redeemed Marriage is the Bible. We may also recommend other godly post counseling resources.
We offer traditional (in-person), virtual, and hybrid (in-person and virtual combined) counseling. Sessions involving couples will be conducted jointly by Darrell and Lisa; whereas, Darrell will counsel men and Lisa will counsel women. We are diligent in protecting our marriage and yours.
Traditional
The in-person sessions generally take place in the counselor’s office. Sessions are typically 1 hour in duration.
Virtual
For the online sessions, private virtual meeting rooms. Sessions are typically 1 hour in duration.
